Who, besides GW, makes a lineup of figs that I could use as 'Witch Elves'
feral, half-naked, angry looking women with long knives? I don't much care for the GW sculpts
big heads, goggly eyes, cartoon hair. I know of individual sculpts I like, especially Werner Klocke's stuff
but no internally consistent lines. Also, I've been looking for a figure of a young feral-looking girl
a sinister waif in rags
kind of like a fantasy version of Newt from 'Aliens'. (I know, Newt isn't sinister). Also, Ogre women? Big ugly giant hags
preferably with meat cleavers and other cooking utensils? Also, Who makes a nice big cauldron for my eventual Witch Elves to dance around? Probably not too hard to scratchbuild but I thought I'd ask

Games Workshop makes a direct only female ogre in their Ogre Kingdom line. It is a pretty cool looking model. Mix it with some of the bits of the butcher figure and you are probably exacatly where you want to be on that one. |

try dark sword for the half naked woman, they have a lot of them on there site. I have an Ogress instock with a seperate hand, so you could sculpt in whatever type of utensil you want

Ral Partha, I think, did a ogress with cleaver. I have her, but you can't have mine. |

Check out Shadowforges's Tribal line. picture picture Look for the OOP Chainmail Ogre Trooper. She (yes it's a she) is pretty common and shows up pretty cheap on ebay and in lots of discount bins. link coolminiornot.com/82594 Here's a few cauldrons from Reaper link link |

maidenhead miniatures have feral female elves, and confrontation have a girl like that in their cadwallon range that turns into a big spasm warrior beast. |

Thanks for the suggestions! I couldn't find the BTD ones on their site
I'll have to have another look. The Shadowforge ones seem pretty cool. I'm thinking that Confrontation's female Drunes
the Lanyfhs
might best suit my wants. That GW female Ogre is too damn scary in all the wrong ways but that Chainmail one is nice
if only there were a few more poses. My best bet there is probably to convert a few of the plastic GW Ogres to be a bit more feminine
and put cooking implements in their hands. |

Privateer Press also has the Satyxix Raiders (Cryx faction), though they may be a bit more bestial than you wanted. |

Wow! I really like those Tharn! I'd never seen those before. The newer Sataxis are nice too
maybe a mix of both. I'm thinking that Reaper Ogress would work well for me too
the horns on her back look optional and I could take that stick out of her hand and replace it with a big bone or something. |

I'm sure that you have checked out Werner Klocke's Freebooter Minis? link There are the Foundry Nymphs which also appear fairly regularly on ebay link Shadowforge's Dionesians (future release) look excellent link Kabuki Models Dark Elf Sorceress, is a fine figure and available from ebay. auction I'm sure that there is a manufacturer that does an entire coven with a cauldron, and one I meant to buy at the time (I'm not thinking of the West Wind one either, but it eludes me at the moment). |
