Can anyone suggest a source of scenarios suitable for 2/3 sections on the attack, for use with Troops Weapons and Tactics.

The Skirmish Campaigns scenario books fit your description well nigh perfectly.

Yes, Skirmish Campaigns are your friend (even if most of them are bathtubbed version of much bigger battles).

Otherwise I just did a linked scenario mini campaign with losses carried over and (some) replacements. Outcome of one battle determined what happened in the next (defence/attack/pursuit/armed recce or whatever). A decent 1:25000 scale map is handy for laying out the terrain.

I haven't come across many accounts of platoon level actions which would translate well into a series of games, although a few stand out – like George MacDonald Frasers attack on the Japanese bunker position and some of the actions described by Sidney Jary in '18 platoon'. I wouldn't generally recommend attacking a battalion with a section though;-)

The other thing is to do the various battle drills – attack, woods clearance, village clearance, point defence etc if you can pick up a copy of Infantry Fieldcraft & Tactics Manual (they are still fairly easy to come by). Players often quite enjoy doing the battle drills, particularly if they work! I've even had people doing the section attack out in a field, shouting bang-2-3 etc. You can also pick up reprints of Colonel Wigrams 1942 'Battle School' (from Caliver?? maybe?) which has a number of interesting tactical exercises in it.
