Foundry have released a new Zulu collection, the guys on the stand mentioned these at Salute 2008. Expect them to be a bit more heroic sized than the old range. Look quite nice sculpts though.

But you have to buy their weapons separately. Great.

That is one very nice thing about the WF zulus, all you need is in one package except the bases and with different basing systems that is probably just as well.

So with weapons, they are £2.00 GBP each….I built a 170 figure 28mm mostly plastic Zulu army in summer for approx 20% of that.

I thought you were joking -another fiver on top that's taking the Bleeped text!!
As if that wasn't bad enough they're all standing still-that's not on.
I imagine someone somewhere is doing plastic- I mean you'll need loads wouldn't you.
On the other hand I got the new Saxons today on a unit deal with 20% off.
Very nice figs.

Very impressive picture, Mick!

When you said "doing plastics" you meant someone there is sniffy model cement, right?

Mick,

Great Zulu colection!

Those new Foundry Zulus look remarkably like reworked versions of Mark Copplestone's Darkest Africa range.

The Copplestone reference is, of course, to the range he sculpted for Foundry, and not the range he released under his own label.

CaptMors17 Nov 2009 3:50 p.m. PST

According to a thread on LAF they are possibly based on Mark Copplestones old DA dollies, which would explain that.

There are/were naked warriors available in most of the zulu poses in the existing Copplestone-sculpted Darkest Africa range from Foundry.

I am mad. I was nearly completed with the Darkest Africa range. Now Foundry releases these, using the DA code no less. I have failed!

There are hundreds of Zulu figures available, in metal or plastic. What sort of company business model states we need yet another Zulu range ? Especially when they are the most expensive on offer.

Dear ComradeCommissar and Combatpainter,

Thanks

By the way, here are some articles That I have written about about the Zulu War.
