I think I can safely say I have never seen a pregnant woman eat a toy soldier. Even at the urging of her husband so the lad will have something to play with.

Or anyone else. Boys don't eat them. We have been known to blow them up with fireworks, but I'm not sure that counts.

*Women* with higher phthalate levels had less macho sons, according to the study. Nobody seems to be asking for other factors, like *why* these women have higher pthalate exposure (such as being bottled-water guzzling yuppies that wish to turn all males into emasculated pacifist house eunuchs). You'd think they'd teach some basic statistics to medical researchers…
