Does anyone have any idea what the Calots look like or their coloring from the John Carter of Mars series? The only thing I've found so far is that they were vicious "dogs", but nothing further. Being one who plays HotT, these would make a great beast element for my Tharkian army. Any help of reference is greatly appreciated.

It's the Martian equivalent of a dog, but dog-like in temprament rather than appearance. Check around at ERBzine:

Look at the Moola figure from the new Tin Man company. tinminis.com/TinManCatalog.htm This is how I envision a calot. I would paint them a dark olive green with black mane and perhaps a tawny belly inside of legs.
