Hi, I have built up a collection of ACW forces using exclusively Peter Pig but would like to add a few of the unusual Volunteer and Militia units which are in the Freikorps ACW range. Peter Pig are true 15's, slim and nicely proportioned but I have no experience of Freikorps figures. I've looked on the QRF/LKM site but the pictures aren't that clear. Could anyone tell me in their opinion if the two ranges are compatable for both mounted and infantry? |

Mark, IIRC your review is for the old PP ACW figures. IIRC nearly all of them have been resculpted and fit in better with larger 15s and are just plain better figures. My gut tells me PP will be taller than LKM. BTW I love the PP ACW figures. |

Yes, I've read the reviews but as mentioned these are old PP figures not the new ones. I wanted to know if anyone has used them in their armies. I too love the PP ACW line; link link |

Some are some are not. Many of the Freikorps figs are big enough to be compatible the Zouaves, Iron Brigage or the standing in full kit for example. Many are not. Shame really. |

Sounds like don't buy unseen in that case. Cheers |

That's why we have photos of the whole range. I am not aware of any size incompatibilities within the range. I can't speak for other manufacturers or compatibility between our figures and other manufacturers as I have always found ours complete enough not to need to look elsewhere. |

'I am not aware of any size incompatibilities within the range.' Then put your specs on Geoff. Its a lovely range and I have abouy £100.00 GBP pounds worth of them and I would recomemnd them -but there are size differences. Compare the Rhode Island pack to the Irish Brigade for example -the Irish are a lot bigger. The artillerymen packs are small-the cavalry packs are big. It is the most comprehensive acw range anywhere but size can be an issue with some packs. Still worth buying. |

Well, I do need to update the pages with my own figs so I guess it's time to order up some new Peter Pig to add as well

I have Freikorps and Old Glory and Battle Honors, and as far as I'm concerned, they all blend in together. I would say that Freikorps is a little smaller than the others, but not a noticeable difference. I also have some Peter Pig and I think they would fit with them very well! |
