Immortal Miniatures have announced the first quater of 2010 for the release date of the 28mm plastic Greek box set.

It will include transfers and price should be around £15.00 GBP Looking at the 3 ups on the site I imagine they will be very popular.

Looks like very nice sculpting. I've never seen a double transverse crested Corinthian like that, but then again I'm not Peter Connoly. A Boetian helmeted head would be nice for variety.

If theyre plastic ,though, a sharp exacto would take care of that double crest,as the rest of the helmet looks nice.

Hi,
The double transverse crest is shown in 4 or 5 vase paintings, much more than the single transverse crest infact.
A single transverse crest is included too, as well as Corinthian, Attic, Chalcidian, Illyrian and a few Thracian for later Hoplites. Crests are seperate on most helmets too.

Good news. I just went down to the Walters in Baltimore for a look at the Greek Heroes art exhibit they had there. It was great and partially rekindled my interest in gaming this period.
