Okay, the rules describe Contraptions as "
crew of one no matter what their size
" "
elaborate, ornate, and unique in design
" "
not built by Dwarf and Gnome engineers but by a small number of misfits who think of themselves as artistes
" So, any ideas what I can buy that can be adapted for such a
well, fantasy contraption!?? Gracias, Glenn EDIT: cross-posted to SF product reviews because much Sci-Fi verges on "magic" if not by intent then by effect. |

As the write-up implies, that unit was introduced to represent smallish Dwarf and Gnome machines, so just about any da Vinci-esque or Steam Punk device would work, as long as it's fairly small. Big Contraptions spill over into Behemoth territory. What races are you thinking of? That would help narrow it down. |

Dwarf/Hill Dwarf/Gnome. Maybe Halfling? Figure it doesn't fit with the themes of the other armies (Native America/American Indian types.) I thought I saw an wheel like Sci-Fi vehicle (Alternative Armies IIRC) that had potential but looking for other ideas that can be used "as is" or converted. Gracias, Glenn |

A long time ago I took the Dwarven war wagons from the Ral Partha Battlesystem 15mm and built a "doom roller" on the front(a cut down chevaux de frise) as a scratch built snotling pump wagon for 15mm. |

The Blood Bowl Dwarf Deathroller would work, if you have $40-plus to spend: link I actually prefer the old OOP Deathroller – it's not as busy: link They pop up now and then on Ebay, but I don't recall how much they go for. |
