I'm trying to find accessible sources handling early war uniforms as references for a modeling/sculpting project that involves the "Early War" period, beginning with German and Polish Armies in 1939. Most of the sources I've found seem to be more interested in colors – which is fine – but I'm really looking for references so that someone could actually sculpt appropriate figures in appropriate uniforms rather than tables that tell someone how to paint said figures. I've seen photos here and there, and I have a general idea what these look like, but I'd really like a more comprehensive resource. For the time being, I'm searching for German uniforms, 1939-1941, and Polish uniforms for the 1939 campaign. Can anyone help? Thanks very much, -A. |

For Polish uniforms try this: link All in Polish, but there is a lot of good reenactment photos. Marcin |
