Hi,

Does any one know a manufacturer of Soviet Cavalry that would fit in with the Battlefront Cossacks? I've got some of the Command Decision figures and whilst they are fine in body length, the heads seem a bit small!

No, I don't; and I would tend to look at it the other way. The Command Decision German, Soviet, and Cossack cavalry are pretty compatible with True North's Poles and French, and with Peter Pig's Germans and Cossacks. Battlefront are definitely the odd man out.

Haven't seen Legions East's Italian and Hungarians to see how they compare.

freddy326,
If you are looking for 15mm Soviet Partisan cavalry take a look at Eureka Miniatures USA. Check our WWII Soviet/partisan militia.

As soon as I saw the comment about the CD figures having "small heads" compared to BF, I chuckled and started to scroll down for Allen's response: Well done, Allen, for replying in a restrained and calm manner. :-)

Those Eureka partisans look great! Thanks for posting the pic. I might have to get some "just because."

BTW, does anyone know of a manufacturer of 15mm pumpkin heads, so I can add them to the Eureka figs and make them fit with BF? ;-)

If you read the message, you will see that I didn't compare the head size to BF figures. The heads on the CD Soviet cavalry are small in relation to their body length so the figure looks out of proportion with itself.

The Eureka Miniatures look tempting though.

Ummmmm… wow. I'm afraid perceptions of what is a well-proportioned human figure has suffered from the abuses perpetrated by some companies. Nothing wrong with them in my view.
