I painted Crusaders minis as french Hussards de la Mort.

This unit was created in june 1792 and fought at Valmy. In 1793 along with the Hussards de l'Egalité, they formed the 14th regiment of Chasseurs à Cheval. They fought during the civil war in Vendée in the Westermann Legion using the same uniform (inspired by the Prussian Totenkopf Husaren).

Excellent painting. You had me looking for the "skull and crossbones" badge.

The 5th regt. Reusch, during the Seven Years War, were the only Prussian Hussar regiment to carry standards in the field. However, these were not Prussian, but French Hussar and Dragoons standards they captured during their campaign in western Germany.
