What size bases are gamers using for Warmaster Ancients in 15mm? I have read that you can keep the bases the same size as suggested in the rule book for 10mm but it would be a struggle to fit some 15mm models like chariots on those sized bases. Just wondering what people are doing out there?
Thanks

DBX basing a.k.a. "40mm" basing is what most people around here use for 15mm gaming with Warmaster Ancients and mods. of Warmaster Ancients.

I agree that 40mm s the way to go but you end up with single ranked infantry. One way to "fix" this is to base in two ranks on a 60X30 stand. I beleive you can even get two cavalry side by side on the "long and narrow" stands for shock cavalry.

i am entirely content with 20mm by 40mm for all my ancients in WMA. Some of my mightier cavalry bases very slightly overhang the base front or back – but not so much that it bugs me.

I could have re-based, but felt that there were enough ex DBM'ers out there with armies based in broadly compatible style not to bother.

Interestingly, i just played a game with my Bloddy Barons WotR against a purpose basesd Warmaster Wotr – Bloody Barons are on 30mm square bases.

It all went peachy.

Yep. I've had the same experience. WM/WMA is forgiving among friends.

Look in appendix 2 (p.138) of the rulebook, it has basing for 15mm and a special rule or two.

Most people have 15mm based to 40mm frontage anyway as WRG/DBA/FoG use it.

My ancients/medievals are on DBx norms – suit any stand based rules with perhaps the odd tweak – DBM, Might of Arms, FoG, Warmaster, Crusader, Bloody Barons.

Whether the rules are good enough to suit me is another matter.
