One can get modern micro-armor for the US,USSR/Russia,China,Isreal,Great Britain, and France, but what about Japan, South Korea, South Africa and Brazil? I checked the GHQ and CinC catalogs and there's nothing there. I guess you can proxy, but what would make good proxies?

Check out Scotia Micromodels. They do eveything you could possibly want for South Africa, as well as some other unusual stuff.

Thanks. How do they compare to GHQ and CinC?

Found this link. Looks like most folks buy Russian. :)

I go by the three foot rule. They look just fine from three feet. They are not as detailed as C-in-C or GHQ but you loose that detail at three feet. They are more robust than either of the a fore mentioned, you will not have a bunch of bent barrels. I have some PRC troops. I can take some photos if you want me too.

magfor61: I would like that very much, if its not too much trouble.

I second Lord Assur Reborn, if you don't mind.

I will take photos of the PRC units tomorrow , in fact I will look through, see if I have any others and post them also.

Here are the Scotia models I own. I thought I had more. I have bought a lot from Flea Markets and E-Bay, so I am unsure of the manufacturer on a lot of my miniatures. I really do adhere to the 3 foot rule. Do Scotia have as much detail as GHQ? No, but no one plays a game staring three inches away from the miniatures.

magfor61: Nice models. I'm about to try the digicam from this years military parade.

I think one thing GHQ has going for them is the inclusion of DSHK's. They are a pain in the *** to mount (and keep them mounted) but that and an antenna really make a difference, even at 3 ft.

Oh, I agree, GHQ are a better miniature. There is also a big price difference too. The K-63 GHQ model is $1.99 USD a piece and the Scotia costs, 67 cents. You can almost get three Scotia models for every one you buy from GHQ.
