I think I will buy some 1/2000 (or even 1/3000) little models, but in the meantime, do you know if there is a source for free, downloadable airplane paper counters for naval wargaming? German, Italian, British. Or even generic, if cute. Thank you in advance.

The Simalcrum has scans from many wargames. I am not very familiar with the particular aircraft that you would use for naval combat but here is the home page and a link to one naval game with aircraft counter scans.

The Junior General is another good one. Under the "Top downs"
link
Scroll down for each countries' aircraft.
You may have to do some size adjustments depending on the size you want to work with.

My "All the Ships" collection at cke1st.com/m_games4.htm has a page of generic airplanes (the link is just before "All the Modern Ships").

They looks nice but Deserter was looking for "free" ones. :) Robert
