I bought 3 blisters of 8576C, the Empire volley gun. It is copyright 2000, in the red blister card, price code H. Is there an assembly guide for them somewhere? I got them for a Leonardo by GASLIGHT game. |

After rummaging around, I found (1) a breakdown of all of the components, labeled, and (2) the assembly instructions for the newer plastic one (which seems to have a similar construction). Together, a smart lad like yourself should be able to figure it out. If no one comes up with anything better we can scan these pictures and send them to you. I don't believe the metal one released in 2000 came with assembly instructions, since it was in a blister. |

Are they stacked 3x3, or in a triangular array? |

According to the images on p.638 of the 2004-05 US catalog, they should be in a triangular array, with an edge downward. The wider piece is called "volley gun upper barrels", and the other is called "volley gun lower barrels". So, the upper piece would be glued on top of the lower piece, making for an array something like (hoping that ASCII art works here) the following in cross-section (underscores denote spaces): _OOO_ O_@_O _O__O_ __OO__ In other words, you'd have 3 barrels on top, all horizontal, followed by 2 barrels in the next layer down, separated by the axle, which is the widest layer in the array, followed by 2 barrels closer together, and then 2 almost adjacent barrels at the bottom. P.S.: Would you have any spare Leonardos?

Yes, that's a big help! Thanks. |

Word of advice, don't completely assemble prior to painting. It's a pain to get to the inner parts of the barrels once assembled. |

Yeah. I am scratching my head over how to do that. |

Nice alternative image from the catalogue link Always a good site for tracking the golden oldies. Edit; respect goes out to skeptic for the well laid fonty artwork. |

Feet up, I think that is the pre-2000 version. |
