Hello, I was wondering
are there any good sources for Fenian or Metis or Canadian Militia uniforms for the Fenian conflicts (1886-1880s) and the Metis and Riel Rebelions of the 1870s and 1880s? I am particularly looking for uniform plates or period photographs. Thank you. |

The Company of Military Historians has plates for the Riel rebellion. |

History Ireland magazine recently printed a photograph of one of the Fenians jackets. It is green with blue cuffs iirc. Google History Ireland and you will find it and a lot more on line. |

If you mean the Canadian uniforms, a combination of Charterand's book and the Osprey are useful -any particular unit in mind? |
