A couple weeks back a 'new' company showed a proto/master? of a new figure of a 'well-rounded/scantily? clad' SF/Pulp?/Post-apoc? female with a HUGE rifle/long-range assassin gun or something???

They said they didn't have a 'site' yet….(no place to sign up for more info on it?)…but it would be 'soon'…

I was HOPING it would be available BEFORE 'Christmas'???

(along with any related/similar figures?) and no, it wasn't the 'Sodapop'…babe…though I've already gotten one of those!)

Can anyone help?

Slishfully,
Sgt DWW-btod

Was it the one with the 'pulpy' Thompson Machine Gun?
I liked that one…
beer

She was a 1.25 inch high cutie.

Inari711 Nov 2009 10:42 p.m. PST

probably the one with the belly.

You would be referring to Euphoria?

Grey Ronin got it 'right',(Inari7 was right about 'tummy') it was 'Euphoria' babe…(the one with the 'tummy'/more curves 8-), but the RAFM babe is another good alternative too/additional figure…

I know there have been somewhat similar 'poses'/female figs also from several other sf-related mini collections/series like INFINITY and so on/AK-47? even…? as I've managed to 'snag' a few now and then…

But I AM really looking forward to the Euphoria Babe! (any more like this gal in the 'works' chaps????

And if THAT is a 'beer belly' on a 'babe'…then the male figures must have a BEER BARREL BELLY????

'Real Women have CURVES'….and more 'rounded, lush, exotic' shapes….Look at the Libby figures Kev does…(like the one riding the Tigress! That one just SCREAMS to be done as a stand alone piece swinging her….AX! 8-)

and is more how I pictured the 'Dejah Thoris/Barsoomian/pulp damsels/space babe genre' than the standard 'almost male' except for a bit of more bum and kassaba melon chest armor…

But to EACH their own….I PREFER my females…(metal figures included)…to be a little more 'dusky', rounded and lusher/fuller figured…more 'mature' and less…'starving model' look.

Not that there is anything wrong with 'different strokes for different folks'…and 'variety in form and function'…but while Queen Gorgo from '300' still looked 'hot' in her ourfit or especially OUT of it…the more 'rubenesque' or 'Coop' type designs (yes, even with a little extra padding on thighs and 'tummy') just LOOK more 'realistic' and appealing to me.

As a point of interest….anybody remember how long Barbara Eden of 'I dream of Jeanie' had the bare 'midrift' but they had a special patch from the bottom part of her 'jammies' sticking up to cover her 'navel' because it was considered 'too risque' at the time the show FIRST aired!!??? (a NAVEL was considered 'too sexy?????')

Oooooookay…

Slishfully,
Sgt DWW-btod (and eagerly awaiting the Euphoria release!)

If they are aiming the figures at spotty 12 year olds that are fed on a diet of emaciated pop stars then the would think the the rubinesque figure was too fat or worse too mummsy!

Plus skinny figures save on metal!

Everyone looks like they have a huge gut these days, even the thinnest. That's what they get for making hipsters the industry standard and thus having their clothes hanging form the hips instead of the waist. IMNSHO that's one theory for the rise of body image problems in the young.

That will be the newset commissar in my imperial guard army ,a real morale raiser!

She's cute!

Talking of risque bellies, anyone see Catherine Jenkins on Children in Need last night? Pretty girl, superb voice, costume reminiscent of a cross between Copplestone's 'Santa's lovely assistant' a Xmas tree bauble & a belly dancer. & you could see her nips through it.
