Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has given these rules a try, and if so any reviews?
The minis look kind of interesting, I will probably end up buying some for using in SoBH at any rate.
Thanks
Jason

The minis look nice in pictures but don't grab me in person, and I have enough unplayed rulesets already.

I tried a demo game at Gencon last year. It wasn't bad, but it didn't grab me enough to purchase it. Every figure activates individually and I don't think you'd want to play with too many figures per side. Also, it seems like it had a dice pool mechanic similar to the old Heroquest board game (an attack pool and a defense pool), but you could choose where to put some dice. I might be confusing this bit with another game, but it seems like every figure gets two activations at the same time. So, they can double-move to run, move and attack, or attack twice if they are already in melee. The ranged weapons required an action to reload. You could also spend an action to aim. Every figure has one or more special rules which is all the rage at the moment. I remember thinking it was very AD&D like overall. The figures look better in-person unless they've cleaned up the photos on the Fantization site.

Great
Thanks for the info.
I'm thinking of picking up the vikings and ogre.

Hey JayPeel329 -

You can check out a brief overview of the game on Youtube taken by tabletopgamingnews.com from GenCon 2008. It's really just a brief overview with a lot of the flavor of the game being on the individual character cards abilities and weapons, etc. We play games with 6 vs. 6 minis and 50+ minis and the larger games are just as fun, just on a bigger scale.

Thanks
I'll check out the video.
I have a few friends who may be interested in playing.
