In the cake section at Wal-Mart they have 4 Five inch tall Grecian Pillars for $4.96. Great for making temples.

What diameter are they. I am looking to make a facade of the British Museum in 25mm. They might be too short as I was thinking more along the lines of 6 to 8 inches high.

I'd guess the diameter is about 3 inches. If you bought 3 sets you could make 8 pillars about 7 inches high. Best bet is to go check them out in the cake section.

Thanks that might work I will head to one of the FOUR Super Wal Marts here this week!

Try the Wedding setion in the Craft area. I do not think it is really a "cake section".
Those are closer to 1" D, and come in 6" and 8" heights.
You might also try Mihael's craft stores if WalMart does not have them.

I had walked around Micheals from time time but only saw the HUGE ones more like night stands. Will check in craft area as well.

You can also find them at Hobby Lobby, in the cake decoration section.

Check Petco or Petsmart. They often have pillars in the fish tank section, and they are painted.

Will have to check Michaels and Hobby Lobby Friday. 2 Wal Marts I checked today had no idea what I was talking about.
