Something a little unusual: Neapolitans against Austrian in 1815.

Figures are combination of Aim, Old Glory and Pendraken. Rules are 'Napoleonic Command'. If you look on the Flickr page you'll see some how I made the terrain cloth.

Game organized by "Misfits of Gaming" (Sunday Centurions) at the Source in Falcon Heights (Mpls-St. Paul), MN

Very different – and a Neapolitian victory, too

Great pics, terrain and figs

Now, that is my type of game! Great scenery, loads of figures, and a victory for my favourite army!

Excellent stuff.

As a side note, I plan on refighting various battles around their 200th ann. using 'Napoleonic Command'.

Right now, I'm work on my Spanish Army to refight Saguntum in 2011.

2013 is still open.
2015 will be Tolentino.

2013 – so much choice. Vittoria seems a good option. I rather like the idea of doing Kulm. We did a hypothetical post Dresden game this weekend:

Very nice photos, I like both terrain and miniatures.Could you please tell me the size of your stands?
I have read somewhere you use Napoleonic Command rules. Is there any review of these rules in the web?

138SquadronRAF13 Nov 2009 8:43 a.m. PST

For 10mm games stands are as follows:

Infantry 20mmx15mm 6 figures for line units, 4 for light.

Cavalry 25mmx20mm 3 figures per stand

Artillery, 20mmX40mm 2 figures light, 3 medium, 4 heavy.

Limbers and Caissons 20mm x 100mm

Generals 20mm to 30mm with 1 to 3 figures.

The rules are flexible. Since movement and threat are calculated based upon a frontage of a battalion, you can play them at any scales. So at 10mm we use a 3" span, at 15mm 4" depending on the basing of the figures.

Reviews of Napoleonic Command, well there are discussed on these threads:

138SquadronRAF:

I want to go with a Central Europe battle. Kulm is definately on the list along with Dennewitz.

What was the size of the table you have used for this game?
I am interested in the rules. How can I get them? And what is the current version?
Regards.

Table was 8' x 5' (2.4m x 1.5m)
