Actual new stuff from Foundry -shame they weren't in the sale.

Loving the 'vineyard'. 11 quid for two figures and some …vines????

That set must really have taxed the sculptor, no wonder they're charging so much…

I've been putting aside suitable slave revolt figs, mainly Foundry, for years now.
These look excellent but I will have to wait until the deals start up again.

I made up 4 DBA sparticus armies for a giant game at H'Con last year using RAFM, MiniFigs and other older style figs with lots of conversions. I would add one more from these but are they the new 28mm size?

If you look at some of the helmeted heads, those are just "carried over" from the Caesarian Roman range. The Foundry civilian *children" would be as large as your RAFM figures!

Allen (who has lots of RAFM Hellenistic figures, too)

It is nice to see something new from foundry and those look like nice figs.

Some have different opinions:

I think they look fairly grim, and based on past practice, suspect they may be a new or trainee sculptor's project.

Jez Griffin (Shakespeare Studios) is an accomplished painter:

…but if he has turned to sculpting, he's not bad for starting out, but can certainly improve.

If it's a range by a trainee sculptor, hopefully they bring out something actually interesting (per the other thread, I'm pretty underwhelmed by this offering). Still, at the price they want for individual packs, I find it ironic that I bought some GW High Elf Swordmasters for the same price per figure off ebay…

I know we're not all keen on plastics, but I've been working (SLOWLY) on a Spartacus project in 28mm. By mixing the Wargames Factory Celt, German and Numidian boxes with the Caesar's Legion box, I've come up with a slew of figures that would rival anything Foundry could do – and at a fraction of the cost. No two figures are the same, either, and they really look the part, to my mind.

As soon as I can put them on my blog, I'll do so.

The Old Glory Spartacus line is pretty good if your wanting to do an army. I like the new Foundry stuff … Some of the packs will come in handy for camps or dioramas.

Some great figures there, but mixed in packs with lots of stuff of lesser utility… grrr…

Is it just me or does the slave with the ankle shackle in the pack of servers/porters look like Odo off DEEP SPACE 9?

A mix of male/female in that pack would be nice.

Maybe there could be a Horde deal that doesn't include vines -or maybe only included vines!!!
