Hi I need some civilians for a christmas diorama that I am doing. They need to match Foundry in size. I need mainly women and children (with out guns).

Outside or indoors? You might want to look at Eureka's vignettes, although I don't know off the top of my head how they'll match Foundry. They tend to be a little more delicate than Reaper, if that gives you any help at all.

Old Glory/Westwind has quite a few Victorian civilians. They fit Foundry very well. The figures are not the highest quality, but a good paint job can make up for that.

I may have an extra set of Foundry's "Victorian Gents" if you're interested.

Blue Moon has a set of unarmed Victorian civilians.

No children, though. Eureka has some nice Victorian children, but I am not sure of how they would match up with the likes of Foundry.

Dixon has some gooduns in their old west line.

I've managed to build up quiet a large civilian collection just by scouring the various manufactures' old west, ACW and colonial ranges.

There's usually only one or two women and children in each range but between Foundry, Redoubt,Old Glory, Dixon etc you can populate a small village.

Note that "Victorian" covers 1837-1901. Styles varied quite a bit during that time.

Not much in the pre-ACW era except Brigade and Arm Chair General gangs of New York figs. OG has very nice Civil war civilians that would be good beyond that for a few years. The Dixon western civilians are "old west" era and style. The Eureka and West Wind tend to be closer to turn of the century. The BlueMoons are later timeframe.

I have been building a collection of Victorian civilians , the foundry Victorian gents pack I seem to remember as being a fair bit smaller than the others. I can post a comparison pic if you wish when I get home, currently they are just undercoated!

I love my West Wind figures. They make up most of my collection. GHL0007 – London Civilians is great. Get the Gentlemen pack as well, though no photo online. I have some WW photos on my blog.

I noticed that WW does very nice figures when they are standing straight but the minute they get into movement poses they start shrinking in places and growing in others. Lol…Take a look for yourself…Pretty funny. I guess the sculptor is good at the standing pose and is a little bit "movement challenged." Lol…

Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll spend sometime at the weekend look through the different ones.
I'm hoping to do three scenes each one centred around the ghosts from Christmas Carol.

Since you are looking for the ghosts from a Christmas Carol, you might want to check out these figures from Brigade Games' own line.

A Christmas Carol is from early Victorian era, early 1840's.

I've got some unarmed victorian civilians (West Wind, Foundry, Redoubt …) which I would be willing to trade. I can send you a photograph. Mail me at renauds at thotweb dot com.
