Mr Lincolns Forts -A Guide to the Civil War Defenses of Washington This has got to be one of my bargain finds of the past few months -One of the those Amazon recomends this on your past purchases, pre-order for £1.00 GBP ok give it a go I thought thinking its a small paperback that may be worth a read- then when it well what a surprise 1st its a A4 perhaps bigger or so sort of soft back with a good few hundred pages of illistrations,photographs copies of plans maps information on the armaments of the forts the soldiers/regiments involved in maning the forts etc great stuff for £1.00 GBP its by B F Cooling III & Walton H Owen II

Ordered a copy too. One question when you ordered it – was it in-stock at Amazon or was one of their "Usually dispatched in 10-12 days" which tends to mean they need to order it in?

But £1.00 GBP certainly beats the £30.00 GBP which is the minimum other copies are being offered for!!

Gumshoe it was quoted at dispatch sometime 18/11/09 and then I got further e-mail dispatch 12/11/09 but it was through the post box 10/11/09.

Agree with everything you said about the book. Really good read. I also note however that the price has risen to £11.00 GBP Still good value at that though.
