Would ancient Phonecians ever have used chariots?

LeadLair7610 Nov 2009 5:53 p.m. PST

Thanks Sorry for the misspelling. But it shows how exciting some of our lives are.

Don't worry 'bout it – it was only spelt Phonetically anyways.

Wasn't there a war that took place when some Egyptians captured a Princess Phonecian and the Pharaoh tried to dial down things before they all got hung up on the situation?

Telecommunications jokes aside, I was wondering if this was about the newest bout of "naming your child while the epidural is still going". Phonecia isn't far off some of the names in my HS yearbook…

TKindred11 Nov 2009 4:06 p.m. PST

That would tend to explain Cleopatra Jones….. grin

It's not a pharmaceutical factor, it's cultural. I worked a tax season for the IRS once, early enough that we were getting the flood of "file early and get your earned income credit" returns. Childrens' given names are listed, of course.

The best one was "Joselvis".

Sadly, "Phonecia" has been used:

Mum was on the phone during conception?

In Coalville there was a family of 15 kids all with bizarre names like 'Chardonnay' & 'Delicious', teachers assumed the parents were scrotes, turned out Dad was a ferry captain & minted.

Friend has taught a girl called 'Barcardi Ann' because as mum explains 'she was conceived when we were drinking barcardi an' coke, HAHAHAHAHA!'

Same friend taught a kid called 'Josehp' whose parents would get most aggrieved every time teachers asked how it was pronounced, "'Jo-seff' of course, can't you fools read?"
