I visited the USS Intrepid today. Quite impressive overall, but just as I was about to get in the elevator I saw a VIP bus pull over. When I got out of the elevator to the flight deck I ran into Navajo Code Talkers flanked by security and Marines in dress uniforms.

Although I only caught a glimpse of these men, I was highly impressed and found myself shaking a few moments later.

This is a moment I will always remember.

Way to go Patrick. Your timing was superb.

There was an article today in the news on yahoo about the Navajo Code Talkers and how they are attending, (finally) the Vets services, and it mentioned a special service and tour of the Intrepid for them, so you got a chance to see something special. Good for you!
