"Welcome to the Megagame blog! This blog will hopefully give you some flavour of the Wargames holidays that are run each January in Falmouth. There is also an egroup discussion page which you may wish to join. Just send a mail to domf2002@yahoo.com and I will send you an invite. The next megagame will be from 16th January 2010 until 22nd January 2010. Table top planning will start on the saturday night with scenarios running through until the following Friday. You will leave on the morning of Saturday 23rd. The Megagame for 2010 is to be set in 1940, and I will post the details here as soon as I have them What does it cost and where are these held The megagames holidays are week long events, the cost for 2010 will be £375.00 GBP The price of the holiday covers accommodation and meals from the Saturday to the following Saturday morning inclusive, meals being breakfast lunch, and a three course evening meal. If you wish to arrive a day earlier of stay an extra couple of days there is a daily surcharge which is currently £40.00 GBP On the wargames front figures, terrain dice and a copy of rules system are included in the price. All you have to bring is your beer money ;) The megagame events are held at the Membly Hall Hotel in Falmouth (United Kingdom) memblyhallhotel.co.uk |

For those of us unfamiliar with the Cornish coast in January, what is the weather like? I would assume it is a fly into Heathrow/Gatwick and catch a train? I hadn't thought of it before but that is quite affordable. The timing is tight for 2010 but 2011 is doable if they are running these annually. |

The weather is
.like the Cornish coast in January
usually wet and windy, not really a problem, because you don't get outside that much. There are flights to Newquay (40mins away from Falmouth) from Gatwick. |

The games have been run each year since 2000, and we'll keep doing them so long as people keep coming
