Since there isn't a Horror books forum I was undecided whether or not to post a book review here, or under the SF books. So if this is in the wrong place I apologise.

Anyway, I want to recommend a fun horror/modern/pulp action book that I have just finished, which made me laugh.

It is called Monster Hynter International by Larry Correia, and is published by Baen. It is his first novel, but reads very well. It has references to D&D, CoC, lots of guns, special operations, more guns, vampires, curses and even more guns, also werewolves and guns.

Good main character, interesting supporting cast, nicely intricate plot, which reminded me The Keep and Hell Boy, so there is a Nazi and gun action galore. I will be looking out for his next book as I think this was well worth reading.

Im actually reading that now. Its been a good read. THe author, who is a gun enthusiant himself, gets a little lost in the gun details at times. Its a nice little piece of brain candy.
