The guys at Artmaster Studio put together an awesome little painting step-by-step tutorial that we've just posted on our website: link They show photos (with instructions) of 24 steps to paint one of our new 28mm hard plastic Ancient German figures. (30 figures/set for $19.95) Thanks! Tony Tony Reidy Wargames Factory wargamesfactory.com |

While you can use rocks to hide that ledge effect from the figures base,I've been doing something else lately that I stumbled across quite by accident. I use a combination of white glue and superglue, which causes the bulkier white glue to "curdle"(for lack of a better term) and leaves a bumpy textured finish around the edge of the figures base.Basically I put down a liberal amount of white glue on the base, and then a layer of super glue, then press the figure down into it.the white and superglue react and form a skin, and after it dries, leaves a bumpy texture. The bond is a little more brittle than either one of these glue seperatly, but if you use more white glue and sand over top,no worries. I havent tried this on plastic or metal, only the wooden bases from Ren Ink. |
