Let me start of by saying I have ordered wargames figure and terrain from all over the world and have never had problems to the extent of dealing with this company.

I initially placed an order 31st July for Approx 164.00 (USD) value of Precision models modular factory Buildings

Hadn't heard anything after about a month so I emailed them, they claimed to have emailed me about some additional shipping charges (they hadn't) but drew my attention to a stipulation about international orders that I had missed. (After me pointing this out they made this stipulation more visible)

Fair enough I thought, they sent me an Invoice for an extra approx 30(USD) for shipping which I paid, they also said that they had already despatched the order in good faith, fantastic I thought.

15/09 – Goods still not received, emailed them, they suggest it may be stuck in customs

28/09 – Emailed them, they ignore my email

01/10 – Emailed them, they respond confirming the address the items were despatched to, it transpires they have despatched to the address given during payment of the extra shipping there fore showing they had previously lied about despatching the items, Grrr.

13/10 – Email them, they respond because they had not heard anything assumed goods had arrived! I inform them they will be the first to hear of said good arrival, they do not respond.

02/11 – I Email them, asking for a refund, they do not respond

09/11 – Today, another email asking for my refund.

So in summary they have taken 192.06 (USD) from me, ignored half my mails, lied to me and claimed to have emailed me when they haven't. This has taken 101 days and I'm still without my order.

At no point has anyone given me their name, their website does not list a telephone number or address (is this legal in the US? It isn't the UK) and despite requests from me they have given no credible evidence that the goods were ever despatched.

Pretty Bleeped text poor, anyone else suffered this level of incompetence?

"their website does not list a telephone number or address (is this legal in the US? It is in the UK)"

It's not legal in the UK. All business websites must provide a snail mail address and/or phone number.

Never heard of Battlemart, by the way. And from the sound of things I don't think I'd be using them anyway!!

Battlemart???

skinnedpuppy09 Nov 2009 7:56 a.m. PST

You're quick off the mark! Edited that after I noticed it, It was supposed to read isn't

Nick Nascati09 Nov 2009 7:58 a.m. PST

Here is their website, not on the TMP Manufacturers List, but I found them via Google, and it does indeed list only an email address -

battlemart.com/store

Jana Wang09 Nov 2009 8:48 a.m. PST

I don't know if this will help. This is the address of the person who administers their website. Does it correspond to the one you sent money to? (credit card or paypal?)

Interestingly enough the email address given is that of a miniatures terrain company….

I assumed they were based in Texas going by this info in their T&C:-

By use of this site you agree that any legal action brought against Battlemart shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. You agree that the sole jurisdiction and venue for any litigation arising from your use of or orders made on the Battlemart site shall be an appropriate federal or state court located in Texas.

They are the sole distributer of Precision Model Designs products so this may be worthwhile, thanks.

I just wanted to say that we are very sorry for the extreme circumstances surrounding this particular order which caused its delay. We have had problems with our online shopping cart with international orders, and we're working to resolve those issues. The satisfaction of our customers is very important to us, and we WILL get this taken care of.

Again, we apologize to any and all international customers who may have been affected by this.

Thanks for your support,
Jeanette

Instead of joining this post with an explanation, why not just answer your Emails? Wouldn't that be easier???

er… I think I'll be staying away from BattleMart.

And cautioning guys here in my gaming group and at the local store.

skinnedpuppy09 Nov 2009 10:58 a.m. PST

I have had several emails from them today, with a view to resolve this. I'll post the outcome here.

Thank you for your support.

leatherneck11 Nov 2009 6:38 p.m. PST

I have delt with them in the past and had no problems.

leatherneck15 Nov 2009 11:15 a.m. PST

has the promblem been reslove?

Big Dave17 Nov 2009 11:32 a.m. PST

Not yet

skinnedpuppy18 Nov 2009 9:31 a.m. PST

We've agreed on a replacement order as in all honesty I would rather have the items than a refund.

The items were despatched last week (12th Nov). They have provided a tracking number, although it hasn't updated as to the status as yet

So still currently waiting my end, not sure on what service they were despatched on but about 2 weeks should be reasonable.

I'll post again next week with an update .

Ordered from them once with no problems. As a matter of fact there was a piece of one of their WW2 resin vehicles that, no matter what I did to it,wouldn't take paint.I emailed them and ,after following with some of their suggestions it still didn't work, they sent me a replacement part.So for me at least they were very helpful and responded to my emails promptly.Hope everything works out for you.

HeadlessHessian27 Nov 2009 8:59 a.m. PST

SkinnedPuppy….Sounds like you are getting responses at least. From my perspective I think I will stay away from them, but at least you are getting responses.
Do post the outcome, as they may redeem themselves after all. good luck!

skinnedpuppy30 Nov 2009 7:02 a.m. PST

My items arrived late last week (approx 2 weeks from date of despatch) so in the end after a turbulent journey all is good.

Pretty sure this (international) order has been a reality check for them and I hope they continue to carry on as they have done in rectifying the situation with me.

Also as way off apology I received a free mortar pit

Good people at Battlemart, glad to hear it has all been worked out.

Vyrus0611 Jan 2010 5:50 p.m. PST

Hello,

I'm french and I have the same problem. I have make an order (about 200$) in october and nothing receved at this day. I have send a lot of mails but no answer…

Do you have find a solution?

Best regards

GreG

Goose66613 Jan 2010 3:56 p.m. PST

Greg, you are probably best to get onto your credit card company and get a refund, due to failure to deliver.

It seems battle mart are fairly crap in the treatment of non US customers.

Suchet01 Feb 2010 12:50 p.m. PST

Having ordered some buildings late august 2009, and after exchanging quite some e-mails, the order arrievd today.
They seem to have picked up on their costumer relations, for when I told them that having problems is not a good thing, but that not informing your customers baout it is a deadly sin in dealing with customers, they seem to have picked up on this and have informed me regularly on the progress of my order.

It is amazing what having a few customer instigate charge backs on payments can suddenly do to a companies, customer relations. lol

Playerone03 Feb 2010 10:49 p.m. PST

I want to thank you guys who have problems for posting. It took Suchet over 6 months to get his order. About 3 months for skinnedpuppy. Vyrus06 nothing in over 4 months. Their website does not list a business address or phone number. Models don't take paint. That is all very sketchy. Glad I looked them up on TMP first.

hwarang03 Feb 2010 11:46 p.m. PST

models not taking paint well is a common problem with resin. probably not that companys fault.

totally agree on the other points.

Goose66620 Apr 2010 7:07 a.m. PST

Sounds like battlemart are back to their old tricks of not shipping goods.
