You don't see one for years, and then three or four come along in a row, like buses! ;-) link Cheers, Simon |

How many are there? – it looks like about 50 cavalry, 4 elephants and 300 infantry. A huge army, well painted and based – fantastic job. How long did it take? a year or more? Regards Mick |

So what does it count as? Darra Happa? |

Hi Fredd, My own Numids are relatively recent, and have never served as Gloranthan proxies, unlike my Spartans, Greeks, Assyrians and Huns. Must play another Gloranthan game

Very nice looking army – loved the desert basing. I did toss up using the Crusader Numidian imitation legionaries for Pontics, they do look the part. |

Mi Mike! Garry for Pontics, I'd fancy mixing some of the Polemarch ILs with Foundry Caesarians, to give a little taste of the East. Cheers, Simon |

Simon Thanks for the advice. To be even more 'exotic' I used some Crusader Carthaginian veterans with pila, added in some 'real' Roman exiles as well as one drunk Celt (BTD). I was tempted to use some armoured Celts as well for another unit. I do like the Polemarch figures and will have one unit of the Beasties as well as a mixed one with some Essex Seleucid Argyaspides. Cheers Garry |
