I was just reading the review of the Italeri Mamelukes on PSR and noticed they complain that the figures measure 27mm, and indeed in a comparison shot to the Hat Mamelukes they did appear 'huge'.

They also state that the figures are made in 'fairly hard' plastic.

But that got me to wondering, how do these compare to the Perry/Victrix 28mm plastics?

A good match?

Or only 'good' if your the sort that thinks Foundry and Front Rank are a perfect match?

Regardless of height issues I doubt very much that they would fit in with any metal wargames figures listed as 28mm. I say this because of the different ethos of the sculptures, pleastic figures tending to be much slimmer and more lifelike than their metal cousins. Think bulk and not height.

Umm Perry and Victrix are plastic….

Oops, but they are in the style of and designed to complment metal ranges.

Have said Mammies. Don't fit with ANYTHING 25 or 28mm, I assure you. bruntonboy is 100% correct, with regard to the styles of the figures.
I don't use HaT, but I really like the Italeri figures. Plastic takes paint well, nice, crisp detail.
