I remember there was a company that had Skeletons and Goblins and things like that for 99 cents. I seem to have forgotten what company it was. Any one know it? |

Thanks guys! It was Mega Mini's. Are they true 25mm or smaller? |

I have the Gandalf looking wizard by Mega Minis/Metal Magic. He stands about 26.5mm tall from bottom of the foot to the eye. I think he mixes well with modern LotR stuff. |

Most MegaMinis stuff is "early-post-True-25mm". Smaller than most modern lines, bigger than early Ral Partha. |

Black Orc Games also has a line of 99 cent minis that might fit your needs. link They also have a news item posting now on TMP with a barbarian sculpt. |

Mega Mini's are no longer 99 cents. They run about $1.50. I own a lot of them. Bought an Amazon army for my Daughter. The bulk sets run about $24.99 USD for 20 figures if he still has those sets. Thanks, John |

Yes I noticed that they don't have the 99 cent minis anymore. Oh well, they do have some ranges which I think namely the Animal ones and the Arabian legends ones. Can anyone tell me the quality (of course, for $1.50 USD you can't ask for much) and how they look in person? The pictures are hard to tell by. |

If you buy the packs, doesn't the price come out to about 99 cents per figure? |

They are $1.25 USD each in the bulk sets. The figs are pretty nice. the detail is solid. they are some older Grenadier and Metal Magic figs, IIRC. They just aren't 28mm. Thanks, John |

Speaking of Mega Minis, are there any other fantasy minis lines out there that are compatable? I want to make a number of armies for HoTT that are in the same scale. I know about older Ral Partha (some of which are fine in compatability, just depends on the figure)? What about any historical lines (for humans) that might work? TIA! Damon. |

Troll e-Bay for Mage Knight figures. I scored Centaurs, around 4-6 different poses, for typically less than $0.50 USD per figure! This included Zombie Centaurs. They make many types of different fantasy races. The problem is that they use very different names for 'standard' fantasy races. They had a few different races that make excellent Lizardmen figures, along with their Krugg figures, which make nice Ogres, or somewhat advanced cave men types, standing around 8'-9' foot tall humanoids, in 25mm scale. They used to be dirt cheap, and readily available on e-Bay, but they seem less common these days. Worth a look, if you are willing to accept a lower standard of sculpting. A quick coat of Magic Wash/Dip helps, or they can be repainted, without stripping. Cheers! |
