Im looking to use the Cadian plastic bodies to create a planetary police SWAT-type force (psuedo-Arbites). These would serve as both "good guys" (Imperial) in planetary invasion games and as bad guy militia types in rebellion games. My problem is the cadian helmeted heads. I hate 'em, lol. I need a suitable head swap that can work as police or militia/ para-military. The Pig Iron heads are nice but are too small to work on IG bodies. Any other suggestions for heads? Cheers. |

West end game's Separate heads system is the popular choice, link I've seen the Tommy and German gas mask heads used to great effect. |

Pig Iron Productions Kolony heads might be good for quasi-police soldiers. |

The PI heads are just too small, Ive tried them Nathan. Ren, the Westwind German heads w/ masks and field caps would work. Any idea size wize how they fit Cadian plastic troopers? Thats the main issue. Edit* Just found this. They are a bit small too but could do in a pinch. link |

The Westwind heads look perfect, size wise, but they all have ing gas masks. I don't WANT gas masks on my heads. |

By an amazing coincidence, I have just put some WestWind heads on my plastic Cadians – I think they look OK – I will take some pics this weekend The heads in field caps would work as planetary police/SWAT, I think |

I want to know if Perry French heads would work. |

As a thought (and they would be bearded/mustached/often punk hair styles), the new Space Wolves sprues have a number or helmetless heads. I think they would fit IG. Don't know if they fit with your idea for the force you're looking at, though. Space Marine scout heads are also a possiblity: link |

If you're wanting a uniform look using West Wind's heads, be sure to get the "Secrets of the Third Riech" field cap heads, not the German WWII field cap heads. Each of the head in the WWII pack has a different style of cap and gas mask. I just made this very mistake myself. :\ |

Westwid has the separate heads for both the sci-fi weird wars and the historical WW2 style. Piog Iron are nice a touch smaller. Eureka under the SWAT line, helemts, balaclavas, gasmasks and ball caps. These should be ok size wise. |

You could always use 40k Catachan jungle fighter heads. picture They are just the right size, come detached and are very expressive. |

Another option could be to simply forgo the use of Cadian bodies and instead go with something like Urban Mammoth's Viridian Colonial Marines or Viridian Special Forces. link link |

Already bought the Cadian Box Mate! ;-) Troopwo, the Eureka heads look perfect. Any idea of a size comparison? |

Hmmm
that does present something of a problem. Amongst the heads in the Catachan Command box, there is one (and, unfortunately, only one) wearing a field cap. You might try checking out some of the bits dealers on Ebay and see if any are offering that particular head seperately. |

The Eureka haeads will match up size wise with the plastic IG figures. If you are familiar with the Westwind SHS, they would come in just a hair smaller. |

I've seen the Pig Iron Kolony heads with the respirators and helmets on Cadians, I'm hoping to get the figs from my friend who did them if he gets rid of 'em, they look awesome!! the scale is good, too

I stand corrected. The Secrets of the Third Reich heads that I mentioned earlier are NOT all identical
despite their product photo showing them being so. There's four different styles and you get five of each per pack. |
