UK members are probably aware, but I thought it worth posting for the benefit of overseas members who order from the UK – the Royal Mail strikes have now been called off until the new year, to allow for further negotiations, so there shouldn't be any further disruption for a while.

Indeed, I suspect the backlog where present should be sorted soon.

Did you not have a dancing banana?

CPBelt05 Nov 2009 1:46 p.m. PST

Why were they striking anyway?

Properly answering that would be a long post indeed, but for a brief summary; working practices, modernisation, redundancies, pension deficits, and general clashes with management. I think actual pay was pretty much the only thing they weren't striking over to be honest….

freerangeegg05 Nov 2009 2:12 p.m. PST

So……the posties were actually on strike because they lost your banana?

OK I give up; happy now…?

freerangeegg05 Nov 2009 2:16 p.m. PST

I swear that bloody banana's more popular than me – not actually that difficult, but irksome nonetheless…. ;-)

Cheer up Dom, someone could take a picture of you and put you into a banana yellow Zardoz nappy and set it a-dancin'.

Besides, you only mention the fruit in your ads.

@Dom: Cheers for the news! I am going to resume thinking about what to order from the UK…

Hrothgar Berserk05 Nov 2009 4:33 p.m. PST

Yay! Hooray!
I had just ordered from Grubby Tanks when the strike started. Now I'll get the Kelly's Heros figures I sent for.

Glad to hear it.

So, their holiday is over a bit early this year?

I would think that would reduce their leverage a bit…..

Company D Miniatures06 Nov 2009 1:47 p.m. PST

Thank God that banana's back
