Hello,
I want to explore battles and tactics used during the GNW and need some help of which rules to use. Complexity isn´t an issue but space (and time) is, so I will use 6mm figures. Thanks for any help.

Captain General by the Pike and shot society. Has a rahter nice combat system, but the command and control is what makes this stand out for me. I am working on Heroics and Ross 6mm figs for the period 1720s.

Here's a link to Ga Pa, another set of relatively popular rules that cover the GNW.

The Polemos rules set has a version ofr the GNW. If you're going to use 6mm consider their starter box – rules, terrain and two armies all in one box:

Having played all of the mentioned rules – I like Polemos GNW the best & GaPa in second place by a length.

Thanks guys, I know about Polemos GNW and the Gå På rules. My first impression is that Polemos plays faster and you can fight an entire battle easier. I should also mention that I will play most battles solo and sometimes with a friend.

I have Swedish and Russian armies in 10mm and I use Beneath the Lily Banners rules by Barry Hilton, our group enjoys them a lot. They have special modifications for the Swedes and Russians. \
And believe me, the Swedes are very very tough customers!

There was also an on-line supplement for Volley and Bayonet that covered the GNW.
