I'm finally getting round to doing some modern zombie gaming, but my group prefers the '28 days later' rage virus type, to the traditional shufflers.

I'm struggling to find much in 28mm that's appropriate, so I did a very quick sculpt of one myself. I'm going to do some more, with separate bodies and heads. Once I've got enough made and cast up for my group, I may try and sell some. Question is, outside of me and my gaming buddies, is anyone else interested in 28mm ragers? or is the shuffler the only choice available for a reason?

Oh yes I would be interested

Lowtardog05 Nov 2009 3:36 a.m. PST

I posted this on Frothers for you where there are quite a few zombie fans too as I really like him

tjantzen05 Nov 2009 3:38 a.m. PST

That's a great sculpt!

regards
Thomas

He's very good! Well done, Lovejoy. I'd certainly be interested in him and I agree with Lowtardog – there are a lot of zombie fans out there. You'll have no problem in selling him.

Thanks guys!
Hopefully I'll do at least couple a week around my normal work, and as soon as I've got a mould's worth of heads and bodies, they'll be off to the casters!

Or, I might re-work him and then spend longer on the others; I get a touch obsessive with my sculpting, and I did rush this guy off a bit. I guess it's a question of how much time and effort I want to invest in the cannon fodder…. :)

Edit: Mucked up the previous post; then deleted it instead of editing… I'm losing my mind – sleep needed!

Who do you normally sculpt for Lovejoy?

Black Cat Bases05 Nov 2009 4:42 a.m. PST

Goldwyrm05 Nov 2009 7:49 a.m. PST

I use both shuffling and rage zombies. I agree there are not enough rage zombies available. If I could get a larger set of different poses I'd probably buy them.

Jeff Ewing05 Nov 2009 7:56 a.m. PST

That's a terrific sculpt, and, it seems to me, could be used for any number of post-apocalyptic or modern games.

Lovejoy05 Nov 2009 8:11 a.m. PST

Thanks again everyone! Much appreciated.
Lowtardog, I'm a freelance sculptor, and I've worked for a lot of different companies – but I haven't done a lot of 28mm. I've been mostly a 6mm / 10mm sculptor, but I grab 28mm work any time I can!

combatpainter Fezian05 Nov 2009 12:29 p.m. PST

We need a 15mm Zorro set. Also, 28mm "El Mariachi" and 15mm Mariachi sets. The Mariachi sets would be composed mainly of guys in black suits with guitar cases and Uzis.
