I have Foundry FP War French figures that dont have tent poles? on the side of their packs and Castaway Arts figures that do have them. My question is which figures for 1859. Did the French carry said poles in that war?

I have seen prints of them both with and without tent poles on their packs – if you look at the New York Public Library Uniform collection, there is a very good print of line infantry who seem to be carrying tent poles, and also some prints of Guard infantry who do not seem to be

I suspect some units might not have carried their tent poles all the time
