Have been thinking of building GDI and NOD inspired C&C 3 armies in 15mm. For GDI I will probably go with the Rebel Minis armor and infantry along with the Critical Mass walker. NOD is a bit more complex, any ideas of what you would use for infantry and vehicles? A few gaps I would like to see that would fit in with a NOD themed army are some sort of sleek combat cycle and a flame tank. A unique type of walker would also be nice (not the boxy type but something a bit more sleek and alien looking). I have several 15mm SF armies I am working on at the moment, so this will be a few months down the road, but I am planning ahead. Will also print out some GDI and NOD decals to spiff the vehicles up. Would like to hear others opinions as well. |

Black Hand and Confessor (Laser Burn Redemptionists) Nod Militants and Rocketmen (Rebel Miniatures Feyadeen) Saboteur (GZG heavy Vacc suit) Shadow Team (Rebel Miniatures tech infiltrators) Fanatics (GZG colonists with suicide bomb vests converted or sculpted onto them) Raider Buggy (QRF modern buggy forgot listing) Flame tank and Scorpion Tank (Top Gun Ace's new grav armor range with a few conversions) Venom (GZG VTOL close support a couple of variants) Walker (look at old plastic mech warrior mechs?) |

Oh, C&C inspired armies, that is a very cool idea! I'll see what I can dig up in terms of suggestions. -Will |

I like the ideas for general forces from Dragon Gunner but have no idea what you are talking about with the acronyms "GDI and NOD inspired C&C" Please can anyone explain? |

thanks retzlaffmd, "I never thought I'd find someone who'd never heard of them
" I don't play computer games much at all in total this year I may have for about 2-4hrs on an x-box, I work on computers so the last thing I want to do is look at one after work unless I'm checking out sites like TMP etc for gaming related material. |

Interesting thought 15mm . . . I was working on an article for the SFSFW journal RAGNAROK on the subject of converting C&C variants to the tabletop in 6mm, which funnily enough is probably easier; Just a very long project to get written up. It might translate over though – better get my butt into gear on that. Thanks for the impetus, Cold Warrior! :) |

I'd love to hear about a 6mm attempt. I always thought that Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 were great fodder for microarmor. One would provide a decent "hard" sci-fi game, whereas the other would be a suitable "pulp" Cold-War-gone-hot. |
