Does anyone make transfers for Union corps badges? Just curious. Thanks! |

Most of them were such simple shapes wouldn't it be easier to paint them? |

I am not aware of any, but most were simple (well, except for VII, IX and X Corps) |

Actually, I think that is a pretty cool idea. Even for 25mm, it not easy to paint a recognizable corp badge. Only the very good painters. And though I have painted them on myself, I would rather apply a beautiful decal that stands out. Just get pics of the corps badges, have them reduced to the appropriate size and make your own decals. All you need is the correct type of paper to print them on, and the decal coating. It's easy to do. |

Most are easy to paint, but for some of the trickier ones I was just curious if anyone made them. |

Oh, you mean decals. I thought you were asking about transfers from one corps to another. |

Everybody into the 1st Corp. I can even paint that on 15mm. :-) |

The only problem with using Corps badges is that it dates the troops to a certain period. They don't show up as a regulation item until 1863, and some of the western army corps didn't get them until way late in the war. |

I make my own decals by downloading or scanning pictures of ACW corps badges and NCO chevrons into my PC, reduce them to 28mm scale, and print a page of them up on Testor's Decal paper using my color inkjet printer in best photo mode. |
