In addition to the little plastic window, I think I also remember a listing of the contents themselves (at least for two boxes, the WWI French and German Infantry?

I used to buy these back in the 60s for about 2 shillings (10p!!) a box. Still got some of em in my 20mm ww2 armies, though I've mostly moved on to other makes now. I can see why these valued like that, in the collecters market, still in original boxes.

Well he has relisted them again!

Its the 130 euros postage that cracks me up the most, if some fool was happy to fork over 3 and half grand for this, then you'd think he might just throw in the p&p..cheeky bleeder……Do you think anyone has told him what a prat he is?

Kaoschallenged15 Dec 2009 1:38 p.m. PST

Maybe it for all the bubble wrap he will be using ? LOL. I wonder how many times he will re-list them before he buys a clue? Robert

Then again, all it takes is one bloke with more money than sense to make his day.

PilGrim19 Dec 2009 7:37 a.m. PST

OK Gents, leave the bloke alone will you – how many of us have spent more on our little toy soldier collection? Glass houses and all that

To be honest I may have spent that in a year, not now of course I am married, it was before I met you darling (cough) just in case she sees this.

If you want to see a real ebay collector fest try listing a Citadel 20mm Dr Who Dalek – they were goung for £20.00 GBP each last week.

I don't think the seller is being criticised for having spent too much -overspending on toy soldiers is a badge of honour in these parts. The reason people are commenting is because he is asking so much for something whilst being unwilling to vouch for its condition.

When I first saw that, Thought it was 3500 LB for airfix, not GBP 3500. I thought that was a bunch of minis and checked it out.

I collect airfix, have bought a lot off of evilbay, and would not toucvh this one.

As for the amount, I spend way more than I should, but as I dont go to bars and spend it so much any more, the wife is not so hard on me about it. But for that amount I better be sure I know what I am getting.

You never know what you might get in a bar.

The market will / would decide what thesse figs are worth. If he had no min starting price then you'd see the bids roll in, (and discover their true value)
