I recall getting a sample a few years ago of a rigid board made I thought of paper. It looked and felt like plastic but could be cut, glued, sanded, etc. but was made of paper.

I've googled and TMPed but to no avail.

Anyone think they might know what I'm thinking about?

I have something like that but it is at least 3/4 inch thick
two boards make a nice 6x4 (approx) playing area.
You can have two boards if you like. just gimme a holler.

EC, I think I still have a sample of that at the house. When I get in from work this evening I'll dig it out and post their info.

I've used a bit of Task Board and it is okay, but not great. It really is little different than artists' illustration board.

Well from the blurb it does 'sound' different from artists board, personally I find that artists board can be a Bleeped text to cut, its a real pain when you try and cut a hole out of the middle, while this says cuts with a single pass.

I can see it being useful for modelmaking as an alternative to using balsa.

Interesting it can be laser cut as well, as I have access to a laser cutter.

I would give it a try on some scenics I am just about to start on but think I might have a problem getting it outside the US.

It does cut easier, but I've also found that with small pieces it tends to de-laminate and fall apart rather easily. too. I had hoped that it would resist warping when painted or glued, but it seems about the same as other materials in that regard. Still, it can be useful for some apllications.
