Testor's has both acrylic brush on paints & enamel spray paints that they say are based on the Federal Standard Colors, including one called US Army/Marine Gulf Armor Sand, along with a number of similarly named paints. link |

Model Masters Iraqi Sand is/was a good match for the vehicles in my unit. We painted over the previous unit numbers with a lighter swath of tan and then stenciled black unit numbers on top of the lighter swath. This was about the only non-damage uniformity I observed beyond dust and caked mud which in Baghdad was slightly a bit grayer than tan. Lost Pict |
