I have some Martian Walkers from Rebel Minis that need to be based up. They are a bit top heavy so I think the best way to keep them in one piece while gaming is to base them up. The large ones are going to need something around a 4 inch circle to give them some stability, something kind of heavy would be nice too. Anyone have any thought on this, I have been down to Lowes and looked at the washers there, but found nothing that I feel would work. I did find some washers for the smaller walkers. Here is a link to the walkers: link By the way, these are some VERY cool miniatures! Brent |

4" circle sounds to me like an old CD, or one of those free ones that papers give away from time to time. |

yep. AOL or Netzero signup discs work just fine. |

They look so cool just sitting on the terrain that I wouldn't base them at all! Unless they are too fragile that way

They are too top heavy, they are made of lead. They are pretty tall, so I don't think that they are gamer proof standing on their own. They have all kinds of stuff that can break off if the tumble over. I asked Mike Tyson to paint up the ones I bought at Southern Front this year. As always he did are killer paint job on them. I am going to put on a War of the Worlds game at Spring Fever next year so please mark your calendar Jerry. Again, these walker are just too cool not to own. link |

Mike Tyson? I asked George Foreman to paint mine, but he was too busy with his low-fat grill business. |

I'd pin them, glue them with epoxy, and leave them unbased. We recently played a game of ASQL using unbased tripods, and it was really cool how they could be positioned on hills and stalking through ruins. |

If George Foreman is too busy to paint them, ask one of his sons: George, George, George, George or George. |

A CD sounds like the answer if you don't need weight to keep them upright. If you do get to Home Depot or whatever, you'd be surprised at the very large washers for sale. They'll hold anything down, at several ounces each. Andrew |
