A participation game project we're planning for next year will be an attack on a fortified manor/small castle in 16th C. Japan. Figures will be mostly Perrys with a few Kingfords, but finding suitable buildings is proving to be not all that easy. Some items fron the John Jenkins range can, and will be used, but we're still looking for buildings. Is there a range of 28mm Jpanses buildings aside from John Jenkins, that can be used? They don't have to have detailed interiors but a lift-of roof is absolutely neccesary since most of the action will be inside. Thanks for any help! |

Or you can build it yourself, which will give you the size you want and at a fraction of the price. Basic cottages etc. are not at all that difficult, and once you get it down you can knock one out in say, two full nights of building. If you are a couple of guys it will be even faster. While I haven't made any proper tutorials yet, you can check out this thread I made earlier this year for some inspiration. Really, with the basic methods shown there you can make practically anything at any size, it just require more time and materials. link |

Just finished my first scratch built temple, and it really wasn't too tough.(No pictures yet) Walls are easy, use double wall corrugated(thats two sets of wavy lines inside),windows, doors and corners use single wall corrugated. I put it together with masking tape and white glue. The white glue dries clear and you can paint over it. For the temple because of the colors being painted I used corrugated with white paper. For houses and sheds, stables, etc. you could probably use brown. It was built in three nights watching the World Series(Go Phillies)and painted in two. TIG |
