Done, and circulated the link. The bit about relilgious tolerance made me larf, especially considering Ollies exploits in Ireland. |

The only downer I have on this is that it's organised by the Free England Party, a group who split off from the English Democrats Party, whom themselves I believe split from the UK Independance Party. By supporting their poll you may find yourself unwittingly supporting them, and their aims, in their election campaign publicity. Not trying to be political – it's just that the poll is identified as being organised by a political party, not a private individual. |

A political party that thinks Naseby and Cromwell – who later threw out the Rump MP's with the words 'Begone you rogues, you have sat long enough!' [if only we could reenact that!] – worth celebrating arouses my interest far more than the tired old posturings of the two parties that dominate our political scene. At least it shows some respect for English traditions, history and heritage, which 'New Labour' has not. |
