Dunno if the Flashing Blades RPG might be useful. There is usually a price list for items, though I have no idea how realistic it is. |

Thank you both! In looking up Flashing Blades I learned of drviethruRPG and bougth a pdf of it and it will help. It is the filled out version of the old game Engarde! lots of good ideals. In looking up information came across,A mighty frotress an AD@D guide which a few reviews raved on the detail of its 17th centry information, so I order a copy from Amazon. Lord Ghee |

Have a read of Dumas' Three Musketeers. there are several chapters where the guys are looking for gear and there is quite a bit of detail on how much item costs. Not sure how accurate Dumas is, but I imagine it is a good start, plus a great read of course. |

If you can find the old At Rapier's Point supplement for Rolemaster RPG, that is a quite useful source for early 17th century France, and has a lot of info on the lifestyle, including income and prices. |
