Gentlemen,

I have completed painting the two battalion regiment IR 54 Sincere. These are unique for having scalloped hat lacing. I queried TMP how best to paint scalloped lacing and some suggested I find another regiment. Well, they are done and I am pleased with the result.

Would I do another regiment with a similar hat?

Not just yet.

Yes, I like the scalloped hat lace and might do Arenberg for my next 40mm regiment. Good work.

Very nice work and interesting website however I think you have missed a regiment from your list of Austrian units with scalloped hat lace. Both Duffy(Army Of Maria Theresa) and Pengel & Hurt (Austro-Hungarian Infantry 1740-1762) give IR3 Lothringen as having scalloped lace.

IR1,

Thanks for the note and you are correct. I have added the Karl Lothringen regiment to the brief list.

The next postings will open our second phase of the Bohemian campaign with the conflict at Nunbung, 11 May 1757.

cheers,
Robert

I would not dare do scalloped lace even on 28mm figures. Bravo!

Having done this once, I am actually "itching" to do the Prussian IR 15; scallop lace and Brandenburgs. If only, just to have white gaiters among my Prussians.

Pity the Prussians are not a priority; first Austrians, then the Hannoverians.
