Hi All,

I'm currently working on a flight of 5 SE5a models in 1/72 scale. The project is on my blog if you'd like to check it out.

Enjoy,

Don't you just love kits where the parts all fit together beautifully? It sounds like you're having a rough time with the Roden kits. That's why I love finding the old Airfix kits. Not as finicky and for wargaming they fit the bill. Good luck in your build. It looks like you are doing a good job.

Terry,

Indeed! I'm part way through a build of the Airfix Hannover Cl IIIa. Great kit! I love the wing jig they provided with their Pup model too.

I assemble multiple planes too often. IMO not the best way to go about it but . . . I am guilty of this as charged.

If I do one at a time it's fun. If I do five at a time its work.

The planes are looking good. Cant wait to see them painted up. The only biplanes I have found that are not work to assemble are the TD 1/600 planes. So small that you dont do all the fiddly stuff. I have Navwar 1/300 and a couple manufacturers in 1/72. Seems the bigger they are the more work they take to get the wings on. The Wings of War planes are a great compromise. Nice size, not too poorly prepainted, easily repainted, and no assembly required.

Good stuff and why are WWI models always a pain?

While building, that upper wing always seems like a 16 ton weight balanced on toothpicks…lol.

Looks fantastic,Vilmonn. Got a 4 machine flight of 'em myself in my hangar.
