Who makes good 28mm mounted conquistadors? I want one as a character figure. Ideally not with an armoured horse, and ideally a figure that can be bought singly, rather than as part of a pack. Thanks. |

Eureka make excellent Conquistador figures, as does The Assault Group. Eureka may sell them individually. Eureka USA site: link |

Do a TMP title search for "Quixote". I asked for advice on one, and got a nice Mordheim figure for my troubles. |

To my knowledge, The Assault Group range does not contain mounted 16th century Spanish at the moment. Or did not contain when I last checked it. |

To my knowledge, The Assault Group range does not contain mounted 16th century Spanish at the moment. You are indeed correct. For some reason I thought they had. (My bad). |

The Eureka figures are beautiful John Jenkins sculpts. Highly recommended. John the OFM jogged my memory a bit. The Mordheim "Don Quixote" figure is also very nice. Also look at Outpost Miniatures mounted Command Pack. This has Cortes, Alvarado and Malinche. picture Make sure you check with their Incas too. Karl (Lowtardog) and I had a small hand in getting them made. They are designed to fit in with the abandoned but excellent Foundry Inca and Colla figures. You must get one of their Palanquins or Royal Litters. picture Of course a stunning paint job like Neil Burt's helps too! Back to your original request, I'm pretty sure armored horses were not used in the New World. Ralph |
