For those in the States, Home Depot has their seasonal goodies out. Today I saw a pack of 21 lightly snow-flocked conifer trees for $5.99. One was maybe 6" tall, while the rest were between 2"-4". Good stuff for your winter terrain. |

And in case you're wondering I have never found a way to remove the snow without wrecking the trees themselves. I personally have no use for winter trees, I prefer to fight when it is warm

I usually rub the snow off the trees, then spray paint the trees dark green to cover up the snow bits that are still on. Clonecommander |

I've pondered doing the same thing but wondered if it would look decent afterwards? Any pics of your finished product clonecommander? |

I have taken the snow covered trees, removed what I could of the snow, and then dipped the tree in some really watered down dark green paint to mask any leftover snow. After it dried,I used some spray adhesive and flocked it. Works fine for me. |

I may have to try that after the holidays. :) Thanks! |

They sell floral paint at Michael's in several green shades. I spray this over the winter trees, let it dry and then spray with Super 77 spray adhesive and drop in a bag of flock. Shake well remove and let dry. then shake to remove the excess. They look really good and if you use several shades of flock you get a pretty good looking "forest". |

In theory you could strip these trees of the snow/flock entirely using whatever you use to strip paint. Then prime, let dry and put the flock on from scratch. If only they sold raw armatures and thereby save us from having all these headaches! |
